THINGS TO DO BEFORE THE OPERATION
Before the liposuction some examinations are necessary to make: blood test, ECG and chest X-ray. With these data the operation will be performed in the best security. If You smoke, take aspirin or other blood thinner medications, or any anti-inflammatory drugs or other medications, please let us know! This drugs can increase bleeding or can cause other interactions during the general anaesthesia.
SURGICAL PROCEDURE
Our clinic is using the PAL system ( Power-Assistes Lipoplasty ), which is a new technique in liposuction. In this technique the cannula is moved by a motor back and forth, thus the physical work is not done by the plastic surgeon. The power of the vibration can be controlled manually, thus more pure and flat result can be achieved. The plastic surgeon concentrate only on the direction of the cannula, he does not have to force power, thus the liposuction can be performed in less time. Thanks to the pure vibration the cannula by-passes the blood vessels and tendons, thus it does not hurt them. After the procedure the pain, the swelling and the bruising are less. Because of the less side-effects it is faster to get back to the normal lifestyle again.
The procedure, in the case of little areas ( chin, hip, the inner part of the knee ), is performed in local anaesthesia or intravenous sedation. If the treatment area is bigger or we treat more areas ( total abdomen, hip, thigh, back, etc. ) the procedure is performed with general anaesthesia. For Your security during the surgical procedure which is performed with general anaesthesia we check Your heart rate, heart beat, blood pressure and blood oxygen level with monitors. For Your bigger security antibiotics are administerd during the liposuction.
Liposuction is performed through small, inconspicuous incisions. Through the incisions a special liquid solution is infused to the treatment area. This is called tumescent technique. This makes possibly to remove bigger amounts of fat tissue without any trouble from the deeper and superficial layers. THINGS TO DO AFTER THE OPERATION
Operation which was performed with general anaesthesia it is practical to spend one night in the hospital. If the operation was performed with intravenous sedation or local anaesthesia, after the surgical procedure it is allowed to go home. After the liposuction procedure it is suggested to relax and spare the treatment areas with due foresight. Between the first and the third days after the operation You can feel more discomfort, but this is just a temporary problem, which is caused by the stretching effect of the treatment areas. Having rest and just a little exercising are recommended, but the continuous bed-rest is forbidden. The initial decoloration and swelling are just temporary symptoms and disappaer fast. After every plastic surgical procedures You have to return for follow-up care regularly, thus after the liposuction as well. The regularity of this depends on the type of the procedure and other personal feautures of the patient. LIPOSUCTION RISKS AND COMPLICATIONS
